Branislav Ivanovic last night revealed the fury of the Chelsea dressing room at their winter slump - and promised it would be the spur for a trophy-winning resurgence.

Ivanovic's scrambled effort broke the deadlock to put Carlo Ancelotti's men back on the winning path at the expense of Blackburn.

After a run of 10 points from 11 games, any victory was good enough for Ancelotti and his players.

And while the manager insisted next Monday's trip to Bolton would be the true defining moment of Chelsea's faltering campaign, Serbian strongman Ivanovic admitted there had been hard words and steaming indignation at what has been happening.
